Game guide · KJBANJIA

Ludo: from controls to your first round

Try Ludo at your own pace and keep its objective in view. Bring all four tokens home before the other players. Use the example below to understand a decision. Read the objective before making your first input. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls.

Play with two or four people on the same device. Follow the house rules shown on the board; internet matchmaking is not available.

Practice with a purpose

Before your first action, say what you are trying to achieve. Then compare the result with the goal. Keep the objective visible.

Aim for this result

Bring all four tokens home before the other players. The feedback beside the game helps you follow the round. Return to the instructions when a step is unclear.

Work through the instructions

  1. Roll six to leave the yard.
  2. Move an eligible token by the die value; home requires an exact roll.
  3. Capture opponents on non-safe squares.
  4. Six, capture and finishing a token grant another roll; a third consecutive six forfeits that roll.

Using the playing area

Click or tap a piece and destination; use the turn indicator and legal-move feedback. Read a button’s label before selecting it. Check any mode label before starting.

A useful example

A token two steps from home cannot use a three. Compare this with the rule that governs the move. Check the stated objective.

A useful caution

Safe squares cannot capture; blockades are not part of this edition. A different version of the game may use a different rule. Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board.
